Frequently Asked Questions

AI Coach complements—not replaces—existing coaching efforts. It extends the reach of human coaches, supports teachers between sessions, and ensures all educators have access to high-quality feedback and reflection.

In fact, many instructional coaches are among the strongest advocates for AI Coach because it helps them scale their support, streamline their workflows, and focus in-person time on higher-leverage conversations.

The AI Coach platform uses AI to analyze teacher input and provide personalized suggestions. It’s not scripted or rule-based—each teacher’s experience adapts to their goals and reflections.

It learns about each teacher’s professional priorities and provides relevant guidance, empowering teachers to coach themselves. The virtual coach isn't telling a teacher what to do, instead, it's acting as a thought partner for the teacher to explore their teaching.

For instance, if a teacher focuses on "checks for understanding" (CFUs), they will receive customized observation tips related to CFUs while analyzing their teaching videos. Additionally, teachers will get curated resources to support their growth in this specific area.

In total, the AI Coaching cycle takes approximately two hours of active learning time and unfolds over two weeks. But the great thing about the AI Coach process is that it's broken up to be convenient to the teacher's schedule.

Initially, teachers spend about one hour analyzing their video, reflecting on their observations, and developing an action plan to achieve their goals.

Next, they implement the changes in their classroom and collect new data. Afterward, they return to analyze their performance with the assistance of the virtual coach.

Each part of the cycle can be done at the teacher's desired pace and can stopped and resumed at any time.

Most schools can provide unlimited, on-demand coaching with the AI Coach platform to their entire building for 3,450 or less.

AI Coach was designed with privacy in mind. Teachers' videos, reflections, and logs are private by default and are never visible to school or district leaders unless the teacher chooses to share them.
