Are the videos secure and private?
A teacher's conversations with the virtual coach stay between the two of them. No one at a teacher's school or district can read their coaching conversations or watch their lesson video through AI Coach. If a teacher asks Edthena for help, our support team may look at that teacher's account. Districts see participation in AI Coach: topics, progress through those topics, and hours. Video is encrypted in transit and at rest, stored in the United States, and never used to train foundation models. Edthena is FERPA compliant, COPPA compliant, a signatory of the Student Privacy Pledge, a recipient of the top privacy evaluation tier from Common Sense Media, and a founding member of the EdSafe AI Alliance Industry Council.
