Observation and
feedback is expensive

Direct observation and feedback
is a key lever for educator
improvement, but it's extremely
resource intensive to do in person

Bring the process
online using video

Edthena brings observation and
feedback online through recorded

Edthena is a collaboration platform for improvement

Edthena is a safe place for help without worry that videos will be used in an evaluative manner. There can be expectations for follow-through, but what’s tracked for accountability purposes is the collaboration process itself. It’s like formative assessment rather than summative.

Edthena works well in any context – from school of education to public school. Rather than expensive customizations for individual partners, our features are carefully designed to accommodate a variety of coaching styles and content.

How we started

Edthena was born from on-the-ground experience with challenges accessing and providing the right types of support at the right times. As an organization, we are rooted in the perspectives of being an educator. This informs everything we do from feature design to client partnerships. We fundamentally believe that technology can and should play a part in affecting positive change in the education system.
